How Does GroGro Work?
We understand that being a parent can be hard work! Finding time to research the best books for your child’s development and then finding them at a good price can be difficult. That’s where GroGro comes in. Simply tell us which age range your child falls under (babies between 0-1, toddlers between 1-3 and nursery between 3-5) and every month we’ll send you 2 books and a Tips Sheet for each book, explaining why we chose the book, how it will benefit your child and the optimal way to read it. Is My Child Too Young to Benefit from Reading?
No. Many studies have shown that reading to your child when they are just a few months old greatly helps their development. In fact, reading is one of the most beneficial activities you can participate in with your child when they are in their early years. Not only does it help strengthen the bond between you and your child, it also helps them improve their cognitive, communication and social skills. Children who read the right books regularly when young, tend to have higher IQs and more confidence when starting primary education. Even a child who is only a couple of months old will find being read to helpful! Hearing their parent’s voices and touching texture books helps improve their curiosity and understanding of the world around them.
What Type of Books Will I Get?
This will depend on which development pack subscription you choose as the books are specifically chosen for specific ages:
Babies books – you can expect books that focus on sounds, textures, patterns and pictures.
Toddler books – at this age we start to introduce the abc and 123, as well as simple word books with pictures. We will also send story books for you to read to your child.
Nursery books – we will start to send books with more words in and a more complex story to follow. As with the toddler books, we will also send story books for you to read to your child.
How Many Books Will I Get?
Each development pack will have 2 specially selected books chosen by our experts. They will focus on specific goals ideal for your child. We will also guarantee that the books in the pack will be cheaper than the combined RRP of the books, so you can always be assured that you’re getting a good deal!
What If I’m Away or Don’t Want A Book?
If you are on holiday or don’t want to receive a pack, then you can skip a month’s order. To do this go to My Account > Subscriptions. Your subscription will automatically restart again the following month.
My Child Is Now Older Than My Current Subscription. How Can I Change?
If you now want the Toddler pack rather than the Babies pack (or Toddler pack to Nursery pack), then simply cancel your current subscription under My Account > Subscriptions and then take out a new subscription of the new pack that you want.
Where Do You Ship?
We ship to the UK and internationally to most of Europe, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand. If you can’t find your shipping country when selecting your country during the checkout process, then unfortunately we don’t currently ship there.
How Much Do You Charge for Shipping?
Shipping to the UK is free and will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked. For all international deliveries it is an additional £4.99 each month for shipping.
When Can I Expect My Books to Arrive?
Your recurring payment billing date, and the day we process your recurring order, all depend on the day you initially subscribe. For example, if you subscribe on the 1st of the month, your future shipments will be billed and processed on the 1st of the month. If you are shipping to the UK, your books will arrive 2-3 working days after your payment is made. International deliveries can take up to a week (occasionally longer). If you would like to change the day of your subscription, then please contact us and we’ll be happy to change this day for you.
Do I Have to Be Home to Receive My Order?
If you are home, then great, you can start reading with your child straight away! If you aren’t in that’s ok. Our couriers will either put the package somewhere securely for you or you can collect your package at your local post office at a time convenient to you.
What Is Your Refund Policy?
If you are not happy with the books you have received for whatever reason, contact our friendly customer service team who will be able to refund you for that month’s subscription (postage will not be refunded). We will then provide you with a free post label to send back the books to us and then we will refund you as soon as we’ve received them.
How Do I Cancel My Order?
If you no longer want to receive GroGro book packs you can easily cancel your subscription at any time under My Account > Subscriptions.
